Collecting Advice and Advocacy Impact Data
This guide is for advice and advocacy providers, funders and commissioners that need a practical way to collect evidence about what changes for people using their services and how those changes may be associated with the support provided. It helps organisations decide which information is useful, who is best placed to provide it, when it should be collected, and which methods are appropriate for different forms of advice and advocacy provision.
The guide includes guidance on selecting data-collection methods for different types of advice and advocacy, together with sample surveys, case-record tools, follow-up forms and routine monitoring tools. It also explains how these tools link back to the Advice and Advocacy Outcomes Framework and includes guidance on GDPR, consent and evaluation ethics.
