Reports

Building Trust, Changing Lives: A typology of Spark2Life’s therapeutic mentoring was developed through case study analysis and interviews with case workers across school, community, and justice settings. The methodology drew on anonymised client records and practitioner reflections, enabling the report to trace how relationships with young people form, develop, and contribute to change. A set of client types were described, capturing the different ways young people engage and the strategies mentors use in response.

Audit of the London VRU’s MyEnds Programme: This audit of the Violence Reduction Unit’s MyEnds programme reviewed delivery across nine borough-level consortia and more than fifty grantees. The report maps interventions against the VRU’s Outcomes Framework, grouping activities into themes such as mentoring, detached youth work, sports, and family support, and classifying them by prevention type (primary, secondary, tertiary). Each intervention was cross-checked against the sixteen programme-level outcomes, with attention given to which outcomes were covered, which were absent, and the data tools being used.

Evaluation of Life Skills Education's DAaRT Programme:  This 2024 teacher impact report draws on interviews with seven teachers who participated in Life Skills Education’s DAaRT programme across five primary schools. The report explores how DAaRT contributes to whole-school impact by strengthening teacher confidence, supporting PSHE delivery, and enabling meaningful conversations about substance use and decision-making. Interviews were analysed thematically, highlighting DAaRT’s added value across three areas: curriculum integration, school-wide competence, and classroom management.
